Canon Rangefinders were first developed in the 1950s, before the K35 and FD series. At that time, they were groundbreaking lenses that set new standards in optical performance. However, they could not be used on modern cinema cameras due to PL mount limitations. Fortunately, TLS has rehoused them with LPL mounts, so they now work with large-format cameras such as Alexa 35, RED Raptor, Venice, and C400. As a result, filmmakers can enjoy vintage optics with contemporary camera systems. Additionally, the rehousing process enhances reliability and ensures precision in every shot.
Iconic 50mm Dream Lens
The 50mm f/0.95 (T1.1) is the highlight of this set. It delivers a very shallow depth of field and painterly bokeh that is highly sought after in cinematic productions. In addition, all lenses feature single-layer coatings, which produce a vintage look and create striking, artistic flares. Moreover, you can slightly stop down the lenses to sharpen the entire frame while maintaining a natural and flattering appearance.
