The Zoom H1 is an ultra-compact portable recorder that fits pro-level audio into a pocketable body, well suited to musicians, journalists and podcasters. Fresh 4-packs of AA batteries can be added to the hire.
A stereo X/Y microphone captures clean audio, monitored instantly through the built-in speaker. Recording writes to microSD/microSDHC cards up to 32GB, in WAV up to 24-bit/96kHz or MP3 up to 320kbps/VBR. A simple, one-touch interface with a backlit LCD and physical level/record controls avoids menu digging, with a 3.5mm mic/line input, a 3.5mm headphone output, USB 2.0 file transfer and a tripod socket.
