Description
The RED GEMINI 5K S35 sensor offers dual sensitivity modes — standard and low-light — letting operators switch performance profiles to suit the scene without changing cameras.
Sensor
At 30.72 x 18.00mm (35.61mm diagonal), the sensor is larger than RED’s HELIUM chip, giving a wider field of view and a maximum resolution of 5120 x 3000 (15.36MP). It’s RED’s highest-sensitivity sensor to date, with improved shadow detail and low-light performance. Data write speeds reach 300MB/s, recording REDCODE RAW alongside simultaneous ProRes or DNxHR/HD.
Kit and Mount
The GEMINI kit includes a DSMC2 brain with integrated media bay, the GEMINI sensor, a DSMC2 Canon mount, standard OLPF with case, V-Lock I/O expander, AC adaptor, 120GB RED MINI-MAG, a 4.7″ RED Touch LCD, a SmallRig universal handle and a Scarlet-W package case. Available in PL mount (default), EF mount or Nikon F mount — select above.
