Description
The Pixboom Spark is a high-speed cinema camera built for slow-motion work. It packs a Super 35 global shutter sensor into a compact, all-in-one body, so filmmakers can shoot clean, distortion-free slow motion on commercials, sports and narrative sets without a specialist rig.
Global Shutter Sensor
- 14.2MP Super 35mm back-side illuminated CMOS sensor
- Global shutter removes the skew and wobble rolling-shutter cameras show at high frame rates
- Dual native ISO and large photosites for strong low-light sensitivity
- 13 stops of dynamic range
Frame Rates for Every Shot
- 670fps at 4.6K open gate (3:2)
- 887fps at 4K 16:9
- 1171fps at 4K 2.37:1
- 1724fps at 2K 16:9
- 2182fps at 2K 2.37:1
- Up to 15,000fps with a custom region-of-interest mode
A 2-second pre-record buffer helps catch fast, unrepeatable action without guessing the trigger point.
Unlimited RAW Recording
Pixboom RAW is a visually lossless codec that records continuously rather than filling a fixed buffer, so there’s no short recording window to work around. Footage is written to a 2.5TB Pixboom Pro Card and offloaded over a 20Gbps USB connection.
One Body, Three Mounts
The lens mount is interchangeable between E, EF and PL, with an active locking design that carries power and data through the mount. The same body moves between E-mount glass, EF lenses and PL cinema primes without swapping cameras.
