DJI Ronin 2

The Ronin 2 expands on it’s precessors with support for payloads of up to 14kgs, and includes enchanced SmoothTrack algorithms and GPS, and can be operated upright, underslung and briefcase, and has a variety of uses outside of handheld shooting for drones, on car mount systems and steadicams.

Description

The Ronin 2 Gimbal is a versatile rig. For example, use it handheld, mounted to a drone, Steadicam or in a vehicle. The stabilisation system is suitable for a range of camera and lenses. In addition, the Ronin-2 has a payload capacity of up to 13.5 kg (30 pounds). Consequently, the DJI Ronin 2 is usable for anything from DSLRs to cinema cameras.

DJI Ronin 2 Features:

  • High torque motors support a wider range of cameras. Also, they are able to resist high winds and G-forces when mounted to a car. In addition, the Ronin 2 supports camera builds as heavy as 13.5 kg (30 pounds).
  • The Ronin 2 now has simplified adjustment knobs. Also, a new camera mounting base allows for proper camera balancing with fine adjustments
  • The Ronin 2 now has the ability to hold 2 batteries. Thus allows hot-swapping. It also includes robust batteries that can withstand both low and high temperatures.
  • Enhanced intelligence means filmmakers can get shots with Ronin 2 that would once have needed specialist expertise or additional equipment. For example, total smoothness control, or studio-oriented smart features. Finally, intelligent features include Panorama, Timelapse, and CamAnchor modes.
