The Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 S is a lightweight, versatile standard zoom for Nikon’s Z-mount FX-format bodies, with a constant f/4 aperture that keeps the lens compact compared to an f/2.8 equivalent.
Optics
A unique aspherical ED element plus three further aspherical elements control chromatic and spherical aberration, distortion and coma for edge-to-edge sharpness. Nano Crystal Coat and Super Integrated Coating cut flare and ghosting, and fluorine coating on exposed elements resists dust, grease and water.
Handling
A stepping motor gives smooth, quiet, fast autofocus for stills and video, with internal focusing and full-time manual override. A programmable control ring defaults to manual focus but can be set to aperture or exposure compensation. The lens retracts to a compact, button-less form when not in use, with a 0.3m minimum focus distance and 72mm filter thread. Dust and moisture resistant.
