Description
The Manfrotto 025BS Super Boom pairs a 35mm geared boom arm with the 008BU two-section cine stand on casters. Together, they let you position a light directly over a set or subject without a stand leg in the shot. This setup suits interviews, product shoots, and any scene where overhead lighting needs to clear the frame.
Reach and Load Capacity
The boom extends to 270cm and carries up to 6.8kg at full extension. As a result, it comfortably handles most fresnels, softboxes, and small LED fixtures. A coaxial geared control at the base tilts the arm through 180° without a ladder. The included Counterweight 022 balances the load, so the stand won’t tip when the boom extends over a set.
Stand and Mobility
The 008BU stand rises to 2.1m and supports up to 30kg on its own. Double leg bracing adds stability on set. One leg also extends independently, so you can level the stand on uneven floors or outdoor locations. Caster wheels make repositioning fast between setups, which helps when you’re working against the clock on a shoot day.
