Description
The Canon CN8x15 CINE-Servo 15-120mm (EF mount) is an 8x cinema zoom for broadcast studio, sports, and live event production. It ships with the SS-41-IASD servo drive unit. On compatible EF-mount bodies, however, the lens communicates autofocus and lens data directly to the camera. In addition, this includes support for Dual Pixel CMOS AF.
Canon CINE-SERVO 15-120mm T2.95-3.9 Zoom Lens with 1.5x Extender
The lens covers 15-120mm and Super 35mm sensors natively. In addition, a built-in 1.5x extender pushes that to 22.5-180mm and lets the lens cover full-frame sensors too.
Optimised lens coatings and 8K-compatible chromatic aberration correction keep images clear and free of flare and ghosting. It shares the warm colour rendering and skin tones of the rest of the Cinema EOS lineup. An 11-blade iris also gives smooth, natural-looking bokeh.
At just 28cm (11″) long and 3.4kg (7.49 lb), the CN8x15 stays compact enough for narrative, ENG, sports, and documentary use. Because the drive unit is detachable, it works with industry-standard lens controllers. Operators can also remove it entirely for cine-style camera setups.
