Description
The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K is a full-frame camera built for filmmakers who need high-end image quality without a bulky body, suited to narrative films, commercial shoots and documentaries.
Sensor and Colour
A full-frame 6K sensor delivers 13 stops of dynamic range with natural skin tones and accurate colour straight off the sensor. A custom OLPF matched to the 24x35mm sensor keeps moiré and aliasing under control while preserving fine detail.
Recording
The camera records Blackmagic RAW and H.264 proxy files simultaneously, and supports Blackmagic Cloud recording for teams that need footage available for post almost immediately. Internal recording is to CFexpress Type B media.
Lens Mount
The active Leica L mount covers a growing range of modern L-mount cinema and stills lenses. Adapters open up other systems: a Metabones L-to-PL adapter for PL cinema glass, or a Sigma MC-21 L-to-EF adapter for Canon EF lenses.
