This EF-mount set pairs natively with Canon EF cinema and DSLR bodies — the Canon C-series, EOS Cinema and DSLR range — with no adapter required, and adapts to Sony E-mount or Micro Four Thirds via a passive adapter. Price varies with kit size and lens count.
Design
The CP.3 keeps the CP.2’s optical formula, focus/iris gear positioning and consistent physical length across the range, sharing a 95mm front diameter for easy matte box and follow-focus fitting. Improved coatings and anti-reflection masking increase contrast and reduce flare, matched to Zeiss’s other cinema lenses. A redesigned barrel — closer to the Zeiss Ultra Prime form factor — is easier to handle and better balanced for handheld, tripod, Steadicam or gimbal work.
