The Sony FX3 is a compact full-frame cinema camera. It has imaging attributes you’d expect from this class but in a lightweight, handheld form. This make it ideal for gimbal use. For example, with the DJI RS 3 or RS 2.
4K UHD Video Capture
The FX3’s 12.1MP CMOS sensor (10.2MP effective in video mode) achieves UHD 4K video capture. This with internal 10-bit 4:2:2 sampling or 16-bit raw output. The sensor also has an expandable ISO 80-409,600 range and greater-than 15-stop dynamic range. The S-Cinetone mode can be used for matching to Sony VENICE, FX9, or FX6 sources. In addition, there is S-Log3/2 gamut support and 10-bit HLG for simple HDR productions. The sensor and processor also work together to greatly reduce rolling shutter. Finally, the senso incorporates a Fast Hybrid AF system for intelligent and quick focusing performance and subject tracking.
