Optics
Four aspherical and five SLD glass elements control distortion and aberration for sharp, clear images, with Super Multi-Layer Coating cutting reflections and flare for higher contrast and colour fidelity. As part of Sigma’s Art line, a 9-blade circular diaphragm gives pleasing bokeh well suited to creative work.
Build and Focus
A Thermally Stable Composite barrel resists temperature and environmental changes while staying lightweight, with internal focus and zoom keeping the lens length constant and a non-rotating front ring for easy polariser use. A Hyper Sonic Motor gives fast, quiet, smooth autofocus suited to continuous shooting and video, with full manual override.
