Description
The Laowa 10mm T2.9 Zero-D (LPL mount) is an ultra-wide cinema lens built for full-frame and VistaVision cameras, including the ARRI Alexa LF and Mini LF.
Distortion and Aperture
A 125° field of view covers wide scenes, tight interiors and creative angles. The Zero-D optical design keeps straight lines straight across the frame, removing the need to correct barrel distortion in post — a useful trait for architecture, VFX and virtual production work. A fast T2.9 aperture performs well in low light with a smooth, natural background blur, and full manual control gives precise, repeatable adjustments.
Build
0.8 MOD cine gears work directly with follow-focus systems, and at under 600g the lens suits drones, handheld rigs and gimbals. A short focus throw helps with quick, accurate pulls in tight setups, on a solid metal body built for demanding film environments.
