The DZOFilm X-Tract 18-28mm T8 FF is a detachable probe zoom lens built for macro and close-up work in tight or unusual spaces, with a 100° to 73° field of view across its zoom range.
Probe Tubes and Angles
Detachable 0°, 90° and 360° tubes open up unconventional camera angles, with a rotating ring for smooth, precise framing adjustments in complex setups.
Macro Performance
A 2.1:1 maximum magnification ratio and 6mm minimum focus distance get the lens extremely close to a subject, while a wide focal length and large depth of field keep detail crisp even at a safe working distance — suited to macro, nature and product work. ED and high-refractive-index elements control chromatic and spherical aberration, with multi-layer coatings limiting flare and reflections. Distortion holds to ±2% across the zoom range, and the T8 aperture stays constant throughout.
Build
0.8 MOD cine gears cover focus, iris and zoom for follow-focus and lens motor compatibility, with a 300° focus barrel rotation for smooth pulls. The lens is waterproof, dust-proof and scratch- and fog-resistant.
