DZOFilm Arcana Anamorphic Lens Kit

$0

The DZOFilm Arcana is a 1.5x anamorphic prime set for full-frame cameras. A constant T2.1 aperture across 32mm, 45mm and 75mm delivers the classic anamorphic look — oval bokeh, horizontal flares, a wider frame — from a kit light enough for handheld and gimbal work.

Description

The DZOFilm Arcana pairs a cylindrical anamorphic element with an oval aperture to give full-frame cameras a classic anamorphic look without the size and weight of a traditional 2x anamorphic set. All three lenses — 32mm, 45mm and 75mm — hold a constant T2.1 aperture, so exposure and depth of field stay consistent through a lens change mid-shoot.

A Hybrid Anamorphic Look

The hybrid optical design produces a 1.5x squeeze that still reads as classically anamorphic: oval bokeh, horizontal flares and the wider frame filmmakers reach for anamorphic glass to get. A 14-blade aperture keeps out-of-focus highlights round and smooth rather than faceted.

Built for Full-Frame

Each lens covers a 43.3mm image circle, enough for full-frame sensors without vignetting. The optical formula uses 15 elements across 11 to 13 groups depending on focal length, including low-dispersion and high-refractive glass to control chromatic aberration and keep the image sharp from centre to edge.

Light Enough for Gimbal Work

Each lens weighs 690–710g and shares a uniform 80mm length, so the balance point doesn’t shift when swapping focal lengths on a gimbal or handheld rig. An 80mm front diameter and 77mm filter thread mean the same filters and matte box setup carry across the set.

Manual, PL Mount

The Arcana is a fully manual lens with no electronic contacts, built on a PL mount. Minimum focus distance ranges from 0.48m to 0.78m depending on focal length, close enough for tight framing that most anamorphic primes can’t reach.
