Description
The Atomos Sumo 19 combines a bright, colour-accurate 19″ 4K-capable monitor with recorder and switcher functionality, live-switching between up to four inputs.
Recording and Switching
The Sumo records incoming DCI/UHD 4K video as Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHR to Master Caddy II media, with ProRes Raw/Raw HQ on supported cameras. The AtomOS 9.2 firmware enables SDI quad-HD switching and five-channel recording — up to four ISO channels at 1080p60 — generating an Apple Final Cut XML for multi-stream recording.
I/O and HDR
Quad SDI and HDMI 2.0 inputs/outputs cover DCI 4K and UHD, with cross-conversion between formats, Genlock and LTC timecode support, and Atomos open protocol for HDR automation. The AtomHDR engine maps log, PQ or HLG feeds to 10-stop HDR in real time on the 1920×1080 10-bit panel at 1200 cd/m².
Build and Power
An aluminium chassis carries 10 mounting points plus a VESA mount and stand. Full-size XLR inputs power external microphones with dedicated meters, and dual 4-pin XLR power inputs allow automatic failover between sources — including hot-swappable V-Mount batteries via the power bracket.
