Description
The ARRI cforce mini is a compact lens motor for focus, iris or zoom control. It suits gimbal, Steadicam and handheld builds, where a smaller motor helps keep the rig light. In addition, it runs from a single LBUS cable, which keeps cabling simple on a moving camera.
Lens control system
Unlike the RF version, this motor has no built-in radio. It therefore needs a host such as an ALEXA 35, ALEXA Mini, ALEXA Mini LF, UMC-4, AMC-1 or cforce mini RF. The host then passes hand unit commands to the motor over LBUS.
Performance and daisy-chaining
The motor delivers 0.3 Nm of constant torque and 0.5 Nm at peak. That output suits smaller, easier-turning lenses, so check stiff or heavy cine lenses before the shoot. Up to three cforce motors can also chain together, which gives full focus, iris and zoom control.
