The Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM is a versatile wide-to-short-telephoto E-mount lens with a constant f/2.8 aperture, suited to low light and selective-focus work.
Optics
Three aspherical elements and two extra-low dispersion elements control aberrations, with an XA element reducing astigmatism and coma. Nano AR coating cuts flare and ghosting for stronger contrast and colour neutrality, and a 9-blade diaphragm gives smooth bokeh.
Build and Focus
A Direct Drive SSM motor gives fast, quiet autofocus and precise manual override, in a dust- and moisture-sealed body with a focus hold button and rubberised control dials. On full-frame E-mount bodies it’s a standard zoom; on APS-C it gives a 36-105mm equivalent range.
