Description
The Manfrotto 501HDV Pro Video Head is a lightweight fluid head built for ultralight HD camcorders and telephoto lens work, with improved drag on both axes and switchable counterbalance.
Handling
A sliding camera plate helps balance uneven payloads from outboard batteries or matte boxes, and dual rosettes support left- or two-handed pan-arm configurations. A rear-mounted spirit level speeds up levelling on set. Teflon-coated discs, rather than fluid cartridges, give smooth, consistent friction, with a separate lock on each axis for precise pan/tilt control.
Safety
A secondary security lock prevents the quick-release lever from opening fully by accident. Well suited to video cameras, spotting scopes and long telephoto lenses where smooth subject tracking matters.
