The Convergent Design Odyssey7Q is an SSD-based field monitor/recorder capable of capturing raw video from a range of cameras — Camera Hire offers RAW recording licences for Sony, Canon, ARRI and Cion free of charge on hires.
Display and Analysis
A 7.7″ 1280×800 OLED screen with a 3400:1 contrast ratio carries waveform, RGB parade and other image analysis tools, on a capacitive touchscreen interface designed for fast setup.
I/O and Recording
Two SDI inputs, two outputs, and two bi-directional SDI ports (assignable as either) let the unit stream and quad-split up to four separate 1080p signals simultaneously. Two built-in SSD slots record to Convergent Design 2.5″ SSDs, with Apple ProRes 422 HQ up to 1080p30 included alongside upgradeable RAW/HD recorder options: high-speed 240fps 2K/HD RAW, Sony FS700 RAW, HD/2K uncompressed RGB 444, ARRIRAW and Canon RAW.
