Autofocus and Stabilisation
Dual Nano USM motors give fast, near-silent autofocus. In-lens optical image stabilisation delivers five and a half stops of correction, extending to eight stops with Coordinated IS on a compatible camera body.
Optics
Four ultra-low dispersion elements and three aspherical elements control chromatic and spherical aberrations for sharp images. Super Spectra, Air Sphere and Fluorine coatings reduce ghosting and flare from lens-surface reflections.
