Canon’s vintage FD prime lenses remain some of the most advanced optical designs of their era, even decades after manufacture. The FD ASPH lenses use a floating element design with an aspherical element for sharp images and close-range correction.
Character, personality and sharpness closely echo the famed Canon K35 primes, but the FD lenses offer a 330° focus throw and stronger sharpness wide open. Out-of-focus highlights and bokeh stay pleasing while the frame holds sharp edge to edge, giving flattering skin tones and character to out-of-focus elements. GL Optics’ Mark V housing adds modern mechanics and full-frame sensor coverage.
