Description
The TVLogic VFM-056WP is a 5.6″ (1200×800) professional monitor with HDMI and HD-SDI loop-through, letting a second monitor be daisy-chained off the SDI output. Features include DSLR Scale, Focus Assist, multiple scan modes, markers, an audio level meter with speaker, and timecode display.
Build
A lightweight magnesium-alloy case (15x10x2.5cm) keeps weight under 320g without a battery plate. Inputs cover analog, 3G-SDI and HDMI, with HDMI direct loop-out via HD-SDI. Four mounting holes, tapped to 1/4″-20 on each side, top and bottom, support various battery brackets (Canon, Sony, Panasonic, AA).
Monitoring Tools
DSLR Scale corrects cameras (like the Canon 5D Mark II) whose preview and record resolutions differ, scaling to full-screen 1280×800. Waveform and vectorscope give exposure and colour control, and Focus Assist with Safety Guides helps keep both focus and framing on target.
