The 50.6MP sensor holds fine detail even when heavily cropped for large-format printing, with a Fine Detail Picture Style tuned for texture-heavy subjects like fabric and architecture. Low-noise processing and gapless microlenses keep image quality strong across the native ISO 100-6400 range (expandable to 12,800).
Autofocus and Stability
A 61-point autofocus system, with up to 41 cross-type points and EOS iTR AF subject tracking, keeps focus locked at up to 5fps. A Mirror Vibration Control System and a Release Time Lag Arbitrary mode reduce internal camera shake — important given the sensor’s resolution.

Time-lapse movie mode, 1.3x/1.6x in-camera crop options and customisable Quick Control screens support varied workflows, in a weather-sealed body built for outdoor conditions.
