Description
The Aputure Light Dome 150 is a 5ft, 32-sided softbox compatible with the Aputure 600d and 600X, giving a large, wrap-around light source well suited to portraits, headshots, interviews and fashion. Note: price is for the accessory only — the light hires separately.
Diffusion
The softbox ships with 1.5- and 2.5-stop front diffusers plus a removable internal diffuser to reduce hot spots. Stack both front diffusers with the internal one for the softest light, remove one for more snap, or strip both for a harder look — mix and match until the quality is right.
Build
An 80cm (31.5″) depth gives sharp light fall-off, and the included fabric grid adds directional control for selective lighting, with natural catchlights in a subject’s eyes. A Bowens-type speed ring fits lights from many other manufacturers too. Weighs 3.3kg, carry bag included.
