Description
The Angenieux Optimo 15-40mm T2.6 is a lightweight, fast, PL-mount wide-angle zoom for Super 35 sensors, focusing to 61cm at just 1.9kg.
Optics
The lens loses only 1/10 of a stop internally — highly efficient — and its T2.6 maximum aperture on Super 35 matches many standard primes, allowing lower lighting levels than most zooms would need.
Build
Independent focus, iris and zoom rings use industry-standard 0.8 gear teeth, and a 114mm front diameter shares matte boxes with the rest of the Optimo range. The lens is built to compensate for temperature drift, reducing the need to re-collimate.
