Description
The Sennheiser EW 135-P G3 is a handheld wireless system built for field reporting and interviews, pairing a rugged cardioid handheld transmitter with the portable EK 100 G3 adaptive-diversity receiver. Fresh 4-packs of AA batteries can be added to the hire.
Reception and Build
Adaptive-diversity reception holds signal quality in difficult RF environments, with pilot-tone squelch eliminating interference when the transmitter is off. 1680 tuneable UHF frequencies across 42MHz bandwidth give up to 12 compatible frequencies in an enhanced frequency bank, with automatic scanning for open channels. Sturdy metal housing covers both transmitter and receiver.
Features
Infrared sync between transmitter and receiver, an illuminated display, auto-lock to prevent accidental setting changes, and an HDX compander for clear sound round out the system. Both units show battery status in 4 steps and recharge a BA 2015 accupack directly if fitted.
