The Canon TC-80n3 timer remote can be used for a variety of tasks such as a cable release for long exposures. Using the long-exposure timer you can have your camera set to bulb mode whilst letting the timer remote do the counting and triggering for you. The remote also includes a self-timer, interval timer, and exposure-count setting feature. All of these features can be utilised especially for time-lapse photography where documentation of a long duration event is required.
The timer can be set anywhere from 1 second to 99 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds.
The remote can be programmed to take up to 99 photos in a sequence.
