Product Description

The Canon EOS 5DS DSLR  is the camera for professional and enthusiast photographers who value high megapixel count. With an ultra high resolution 50.6MP full-frame CMOS sensor coupled with the Dual DIG!C 6 image processor, the new EOS 5DS offers more detailed and sharper images compared to it’s predecessor while utilising a 61-point high-density reticular AF system, and delivers high-speed continuous shooting of up to 5fps. To tackle against camera shake, Canon introduced the new Mirror Vibration Control System and the Release Time Lag Arbitrary setting aids the EOS 5DS to reduce blur and further improve image clarity. The rugged Canon EOS 5DS DSLR also provides a wealth of features to accommodate the creative photographer, including the new Fine Detail picture style, a 1.3x and 1.6x crop function, a Custom Quick Control function, a Time Lapse Movie function that creates Full HD movies from still images on the camera and a weather-sealed body to allow shooting in extreme weather conditions.

Outstanding Images

The EOS 5Ds features an outstanding 50.6 Megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, the highest resolution in EOS history. This means greater detail, even in low light situations and at higher ISOs, with minimal noise/distortion and breathtaking dynamic range thanks to the sensor’s wide cell pitch. The ultra high resolution allows for dramatic cropping and is capable of creating detail-rich photographic materials suitable for large format and composite photographs.

Agile Performance

Never miss a moment with the Canon EOS 5DS’s high speed continuous shooting performing up to 5 frames per second in RAW & JPG formats, even with 50.6MP. The camera has an outstanding 61-point high-density reticular AF sensor (up to 41 cross-type points) along with a EOS iTR AF subject tracking with face detection enhances focus accuracy.

Astonishing Clarity

The newly developed 61 point High Density Reticular AF covers a wide area of the screen, making it easier to focus on your desired area. The additional of Large Zone AF makes different AF area selection modes available, and when these are used, the multi-point AF system can be utilised to match the qualities of the subject, such as any single point for focusing on a still subject, or a specified zone for  subjects with intense movement.

Create a Balance

The camera is equipped with Canon’s newest and fastest processor, the DIGIC 6 Image Processor, which is highly advanced in image quality both in stills and video. The light sensitivity allows for high resolution with less noise when shooting in dark conditions, and Dynamic IS detects and compensates for tilt and parallel movement (shift blur) to create video that’s exceptionally free of distortion.

Low Light Performance

Capture incredibly high detail, even when there is little light with an ISO range of 100-6400 (expandable to 12800). This large ISO range enables for photographers to shoot regardless of situation, making the EOS 5DsR a camera of choice for professionals. This camera also includes gapless microlenses optimise the light-gathering efficiency to achieve high ISO speed and low noise capability.

Reduce Blur

The EOS 5DsR contains Canon’s newly developed mechanism to control mirror with motor and cam system. Unlike a conventional spring type, this camera is equipped with a newly developed mirror control mechanism driven by motor and cams). The mechanism enables suppression of vibration that occurs during mirror motion, bringing out the full resolving power of the camera by decreasing camera-shake blur while softening the shutter-release sound.
